Sam

Sam owns The Neon Cactus. They built it with someone they lost and they’ve kept it running alone since. They’re behind the bar when Mia’s not, in the back office when she is, and always aware of exactly what’s happening in their place.

Sam is a Special-tier character. They don’t fit the normal difficulty curve. When you sit down across from them, everything you’ve already used tonight loses its shine. Sam’s been watching you all night. Whatever you’ve shown everyone else tonight won’t work here.

The only cards that work at full power are the ones you haven’t played yet. Think about what that means. An entire evening of conversations, and the person at the end only cares about what you held back.

Sam is the final test of The Neon Cactus. They respond to honesty. Not performed honesty. The real kind, the kind you can only prove by having something left that you haven’t shown anyone else tonight. There’s a story behind that bar. You’ll have to earn it.
